Chanda is a born and raised native of the Greater Grand Traverse Area and holds a business degree from Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City, MI. She has spent the majority of her career in business accounting with the past several years in property management. 

Chanda comes from a military family. Her father, 3rd class petty officer served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Boston CAG-1 a part of the Fox Division during the Cuban Missile Crisis. So, it's no wonder why Chanda takes so much heart towards the military, its service members, and their families as the love of God, Country, and Freedom have been instilled in her since she was a young girl.
