Doug Nowels is a full-time Realtor® and Broker/Owner of Real Estate One of Petoskey.  He has over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry. During this time he has established himself as one of the top local realtors in Emmet County.  His strong business background has helped guide him in assisting residential and commercial clients with their real estate needs.

His goal is to create the best Real Estate experience for both buyers and sellers. He has a network of excellent partners (mortgage lenders, title work, home inspectors, contractors, etc.), which clients find invaluable. An integral part of today's real estate industry is technology and Doug provides his clients with state-of-the art web tools and marketing techniques to meet his client’s needs as well as a more traditional local marketing approach.

During his career he has successfully started, bought and sold many businesses, which included developing several commercial real estate projects. Doug also specializes in property management.  Doug graduated from Ferris State University in 1980 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Education. He was a member of the varsity hockey team and was voted "Teams most valuable player" during his junior year and selected to the C.C.H.A. all-academic team during his senior year.

He and his wife Tammie have 4 grown children and 4 adorable grandchildren. They reside in Harbor Springs and enjoy all the beauty and outdoor activities Northern Michigan has to offer.
